this was taken in Jackson Square. I used to live in Jackson Square also. It is so strange to go back to where you lived as a teenager with your children (well, i was 18 - 20, but i still consider those my teenage years).

A Pool in New Orleans

 

considering NO is far below sea level, pools there are rare. But, we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy one. Ethan loves to go in the pool. He jumps in, swims out and keeps jumping in (all with my help of course). Swimming season is almost over but I think we have met our objectives for this summer. Ethan LOVES the water and is very comfortable "swimming" (he kicks his legs, and kind of puts his arms out..at 19 months, I think thats pretty great).

have you ever seen sea dragons??? look how similar to the vegetation they appear. Just very bizaree IMHO.

Outside the Aquarium in New Orleans

 

by the Mississippi River. Ethan wasn't interested so much in the fish in the Aquarium, but it was a nice, cool place to hang out for a few hours.
